All doors are solid and carved only from hardwoods of the highest quality. Hand beaten copper is used on some of our doors to set off the beauty of the wood and emphasize the unique South African designs adding authenticity to your door, enchanting your home and improving it’s value.

Old methods of carving, which no machine is capable of reproducing.

Types of wood mainly used is African Teak: A Hard wood with a light red/brown colour and a distinctive grain and most other hard woods on request example maranti, oak, rosewood etc.
The timber contains 8% to 15% moisture and can be used in coastal areas where the moisture content will stay 15% max, and in dry inland areas where the moisture content will be as low as 8% without cracking or warping.
